Marriage and Family Therapy

Marriage and Family Therapy
Parenting a child with special needs can be rewarding and exciting, but at times, it can also be overwhelming. All marriages go through times of change, however, it is possible that while parenting a special needs child a couple’s marriage will encounter even more challenges and stresses. Similarly, siblings also have emotional responses to dealing with autism. The Burrell Autism Center has experienced staff to help parents work on marital issues while juggling the demands of raising a child with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, to help families find ways to address all family members’ needs, and to facilitate growth promoting interactions within the family.
