OT Evaluation
Using a variety of formal and informal evaluation and assessment measures, our occupational therapists identify specific neurological
processes and skills that are affecting a child’s ability to function within his/her daily routine. Through a variety of therapeutic
approaches, engagement in activity is facilitated, and compensatory techniques or adaptations are utilized, to provide maximum growth
and success throughout daily routines that have been identified as a priority for the child and family. Evaluations may require one to
three visits for completion.
Each evaluation includes:
- History taking
- Clinical Observation
- Review of client file
- Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory (PEDI)
- Self-Help Screening
- Sensory Profile (SP) or Sensory Processing Measure (SPM)
- Parent/Caregiver Interview
The therapist may also administer other tools such as:
- Peabody Developmental Motor Scales - 2 (PDMS-2)
